SEO (Search engine optimization)
Search engine optimization or SEO, is an internet marketing strategy which optimizes your website to be visible to google. The goal is to improve relevancy to google searches by using certain keywords in your: about page, product descriptions, blog posts, and any other text you have on your website. The better your website is optimized with keywords the better chance you have at ranking on google and other search engines, in the organic searches. Ranking in the organic searches will increase traffic to your site without having to pay for ads. The vast majority of people click on the organic search options so the better the ranking the more business. As we all know we never go past a page or two of searches, so showing up on page 10 is worthless. This is where good keyword research is important. You need a strategy that makes you visible, but doesn’t compete with the big boys in your industry. Be creative and find keywords that are more targeted to your customer. Once you have a solid keyword strategy use those words as often as possible without being ridiculous, google knows if you are just typing the same words over and over again without context. Place the words in the about section, product descriptions ,blog, frequently asked questions, and anywhere else text is found on your site. Be creative here as well, the more content you have the more opportunity you have to place keywords.
